Proven Success in Community College Presidential Searches

Gold Hill Associates is dedicated solely to community college presidential searches.  Operating since 1990, Gold Hill Associates has assisted nearly 100 community colleges in searches for new presidents. We work in colleges throughout the country, from small rural institutions to large urban multi-college districts. Our search procedures are effective and rely on input to the Board from a variety of constituents, without losing sight that the ultimate decision is that of the Board.

What Makes Gold Hill Unique

  • We concentrate exclusively on community college presidential searches.
  • We are the most comprehensive independently owned community college presidential search firm in the country.
  • Our process and procedures have been honed over nearly 100 presidential searches.  They can be adapted to meet individual board and state requirements, but are designed to be effective and cost-efficient.
  • Our search professionals have been successful community college presidents, bringing specific and first-hand knowledge of the job. Because they have been presidents, they are cognizant of costs to the board and to the institution.
  • We work for the board of trustees.  We do not work on behalf of candidates.
  • We guarantee success.  If the board is unsatisfied with the final candidates, we will redo the search until it is satisfied; or accept no fee.

"When Camden Community College was in need of a new president, I researched some of the organizations that perform presidential searches. I called colleges across the country and spoke with trustees and college personnel. The answer was always the same: Bob Barringer is the best in the business. Now that I have worked with him, I couldn't agree more. And, amazingly, he was the most reasonably priced."
